I am an Ohio-born speculative fiction writer living in central Florida with my husband and our tragically cute dog. (Odd facts: I used to live near the home of Duck Tape. Later I lived near the home of Nylabone. Then I moved near the home of Gatorade. Now I live near a very famous Giant Mouse.) Each time I move, I lose my gardens, but not my love of plants and nature. Inspiration often comes during the time and from the places I walk.
I was a short-term member (just two months!) of the Cajun Sushi Hamsters writing group in Cleveland, and of the Writers of the Weird in New Jersey, and am member-emeritus of the monthly WriteShop Critiqe Group in Columbus. My current crit group is the online Elementals group. Anything I manage to accomplish is because these fine people have beaten the bad habits out of me, while instilling good writing habits in those places. In 2013, I attended the Viable Paradise Writers’ Workshop, becoming a member of the 17th class (whee!). In 2016, I attended the Taos Toolbox Writers’ Workshop.
In addition to reading, writing, and walking, I love travel, cooking, and quilting (my grandmother would be proud). And chocolate, of course.
