I am so happy to be able to share this news with you. I received an email last night, saw the sender’s name and braced for the polite rejection. Instead, I found myself looking at an attached contract and an acceptance! “Amma’s Wishes” will appear in Sword & Sorceress 29, tentatively due out in November 2014.
I devoured Marion Zimmer Bradley’s books and her early Sword & Sorceress anthologies as a teen and college student, so I’m thrilled to be published in the anthology-legacy of one of my early influences. I’m also honored to be sharing the Table of Contents with Pauline J. Alama, another Writer of the Weird, and a longtime MZB Sword & Sorceress contributor.
Now I just have to wait until the expected November release date. (taps fingers on desk) Really, I’m not impatient, or anything. 🙂
Congratulations! I loved S&S too and I’m happy they’re keeping the quality up with good writing like yours.
Congratulations!
Thanks Debra and Skye. I’m very pleased, and still a bit overwhelmed. In a good way!
Great! Looking forward to reading it!
Thanks. I can’t wait for you to read it, either!
