Tomorrow marks a year of this blog’s existence. I can’t believe it’s true, but it is. In the year just past, many things have changed for me, both as a person and as a writer. This blog, however, has survived all these changes, and continues on still.
I’d like to think that some of you have enjoyed what you’ve read and the photos you’ve seen posted here. I have to admit that the first ‘non-friend or family’ follower of this blog both thrilled and flummoxed me. After all, why would anyone care what I’m rambling on about here, about the perspiration part of writing, about the strange magic of the words that sometimes flow like honeyed wine, other times stick in my fingers like arthritis of the words? Considering I’m reading your blogs, too, well, now I know it’s only natural. Like draws to like.
Speaking of which, I have to say I appreciate your ‘likes’ and your comments. Sometimes, when the going is rough, those little things really help. So thanks.
Here’s to the ending of the first great, experimental year. And to the beginning of the next, hopefully even better, year. May the Blog Gods give me wisdom to share, and the Patron Saint of Storytellers keep feeding me words, stories and ideas. The path of my Everyday Magic goes on…I hope you share it with me.
Congratulations!
I agree, at first it feels weird when strangers are interested in what you have to say. It should prove that you’re interesting, though!
Heh. I guess does, at that. Though it’s still surprising to me!
Hey, belated happy blog birthday! I hope the coming year is filled with wonderful surprises for you!
Thanks! I’m sure the year will hold surprises–when does life not, after all? I just hope a few will be *good* surprises! 🙂
